Les Saisons Launches E-Newsletter
As we approach the New Year, there's one resolution we are thrilled to check off our list... The launch of the new Les Saisons E-Newsletter! We are very excited to announce that the Les Saisons Newsletter will be sent electronically three to four times per season to all of our owners, renters and guests.
Like your quarterly assessments and Planned Weeks confirmations, the newsletter will be sent to the email address we have for you on file. The purpose of each newsletter will be to keep you informed of important topics happening in and around Les Saisons, including residence and property updates, building maintenance, staff announcements and friendly reminders. The content is geared towards bringing you pertinent resort information in a timely manner, as well as general information about the Ketchum/Sun Valley area and upcoming events we don't want you to miss.
Visitors to the Les Saisons Website will also have access to the newsletter. Archived issues will be stored under a new “Newsletter section on the homepage. Additionally, visitors will have the option to subscribe to the newsletter directly on the website, providing anyone interested in Les Saisons the opportunity to follow the progress of our unique resort and learn more about us.
We invite you to enjoy each edition of the newsletter, and hope you find it a reliable source of information for Les Saisons as well as a helpful resource for your upcoming visit. We look forward to sharing this letter with you all and welcome any suggestions or comments you may have.
Les Saisons Gets New Pool LinerIn response to our owners' number one complaint this summer, Les Saisons has replaced the old pool liner with a new one. The new liner is a superior product than the first, featuring acrylic coating to specifically help protect against UV and chemical fading and staining. It was a lengthy process to determine which sort of material we would use as a replacement. Unfortunately, we were limited in our choice of materials due to weight restrictions and cold weather elements. As we learned with the first pool, we needed a material that could withstand a certain amount of flex and also one that was light enough for the roof structure to support. For these reasons, we believe that the new liner was our best alternative and are very pleased with the outcome.
Holiday Rentals at Les Saisons
The holidays are just around the corner and while New Year's is sold out, we have some new availability in our three bedroom residences for Christmas week.
Contact the Les Saisons Concierge for information regarding rates and specific dates of availability.
The holiday season is a wonderful, magical time to spend in the mountains and with a snow pack that lasts well into April, now is as good a time as any to start planning your ski vacation for this winter!
What's New in Sun ValleyThe 2009/2010 ski season got off to a spectacular start the week before Baldy opened for the year, with the ribbon cutting ceremony for Baldy's brand new Gondola. Over 3,200 people turned out to stand in a line that stretched from the base of the gondola at River Run, all the way over the bridge to the lower River Run parking lot, and wait their turn for a free lift on the gondola to Sun Valley's historic Roundhouse. Both Carol and Earl Holding were found making their way through the event, which featured everything from free hot cocoa and apple cider, to snow cat demos, a model of the new River Run development project, live radio interviews, ski flicks on a jumbo-tron, and a host of booths from local shops hosting raffles. The addition of the new gondola is exciting for a couple reasons. Not only will it provide beginner skiers access to the gently sloping runs on Seattle Ridge, but it will also provide foot traffic with access to the Roundhouse for breakfast and lunch as part of Sun Valley's “Adventure Dining experience. No announcement has been made as to when the Roundhouse will open for dinner, however there is talk that dinner service may begin this summer. Also unveiled at the ribbon cutting was Baldy's new jib park, located towards the bottom of Lower River Run on the skier's left. With several boxes, rails and jumps, the jib park is a great addition to Baldy's half-pipe, which is located on Lower Warm Springs. The installation this summer of new specialty snow guns for Baldy's half-pipe will also help generate the extra snow needed to build the half-pipe and have it open early in the season. Even little Dollar Mountain is getting some jib features of its own, with a collection of rails and boxes installed around the hill. And after a brief hiatus to improve its safety features, the Dollar tubing park is back and open this year! All in all, a lot of excitement is generating with the changes being made, and everyone's ready to welcome the winter season.
