Les Saisons - a Fractional Resort, Sun Valley, Idaho
Ski

Sun Valley reached prominence in 1939 when it began operating North America’s first chair lift. Since then, its distinction as a world class ski resort has soared thanks to Bald Mountain’s 3,000 vertical feet of intermediate to advanced runs, three magnificent day lodges, first-rate snow-making and the recent addition of a gondola. With Dollar Mountain, the perfect slope for beginners to test their legs, only a short distance away, skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are sure to enjoy.

The Wood River Valley also boasts an extensive network of Nordic trails. Whether you’re looking for ski clinics, race instruction or just a quiet day on your skis, choose from the Nordic & Snowshoe Center at Sun Valley Resort to the Galena and North Valley Trail Systems in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. You’ll find some of the best cross-country access around.

Golf

Not only is Les Saisons conveniently located in the center of town, it’s also a strategic five minutes from several world-class golf courses. Sun Valley’s historic Trail Creek Course and the stunning ridgeline White Clouds Course are moments down Sun Valley Road. Big Wood Golf Course, a regulation 9-hole course, and The Valley Club, a Tom Fazio designed 27-hole course are both a quick drive from the resort.

As an owner at Les Saisons, you will have member privileges at the top-rated Elkhorn Golf Course. Designed by the legendary team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Robert Trent Jones, Jr., this challenging 18-hole championship course sets the bar with state-of-the-art training facilities, a new clubhouse and skilled, welcoming staff. Elkhorn is a "must-play" destination among the game's finest courses and through your Elkhorn membership you will also enjoy privileges at the Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls and Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, a wonderful amenity to take advantage of in spring or fall when local temperatures are cool.

Fly Fishing

With Silver Creek, a Blue Ribbon spring creek, the freestone Big Wood River and the tributaries of the Big Lost River and the Salmon River at your fly-fishing fingertips, Sun Valley is an angler’s year-round paradise. Aficionados will be right at home pulling trophy-size wild Rainbow and Brown Trout, Steelhead, Salmon and Chinook from seasonal waters. A number of well equipped local outfitters are also available for half-day or full-day guided fishing trips.

Spa

The perfect Sun Valley day? How about a day of skiing followed by a relaxing hot stone massage treatment? The Spa at Les Saisons has a full set of services to keep your body in peak condition, including Swedish body massage, body wraps and full-body treatments to improve circulation and help alleviate fatigue. Visit the Spa.

Art & Culture

The journey here may seem like you’re roughin’ it, given Ketchum’s relative isolation from a major city, but once in town you’ll find it has a burgeoning cultural scene. Over 30 art galleries feature a variety of exhibits from Western photography and sculpture to contemporary and traditional fine art. Performing arts, supported and developed by local theater companies, regularly take to the stage and additional organizations like the Sun Valley Summer Symphony, the Sun Valley Opera and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts offer venues throughout the community on a year-round basis. Check with the Les Saisons Concierge for a complete list of current events while you’re here.

Dining & Nightlife

Starbucks and Tully’s are the only names you’ll recognize in this small town that has more options for fine dining than it does fast food joints. Whether your night out consists of a rustic, old Ketchum experience in one of Ernest Hemingway’s old haunts, a refined European alpine scene á la French cuisine or an eclectic blend of organic regional Northwest creations, there’s something for even the pickiest palates. Follow your evening up with a night on the town by taking in some local theater, having cocktails at a local lounge or kick up your skirts at Main Street’s mainstays that thrive well into the wee hours. You’ll have plenty to choose from and events you won’t want to miss!

Mountain Biking

Dozens of miles of maintained trails, and terrain that runs from the challenging to the awe-inspiring; nothing gets your adrenaline pumping like the stunning vistas of the Sawtooth Mountains of Sun Valley. Winter chairlifts work double-duty in warmer months to whisk riders to expanded riding areas in high alpine terrain. From daredevil cliff-side descents to leisurely riverside sojourns, there's something special out there for riders of every age and ability level.

Hiking

Sun Valley is an alpine paradise for hikers, campers and mountaineers, with mile after mile of verdant valleys surrounded by an endless array of rugged, snow dappled peaks. Go for a day trip, or get away from it all in nature's own private playground. One thing is certain: with this much beauty at your doorstep, you'll want to keep coming back for more.
